Art workshop (2-hr) for you and your friends. Available upon request for groups of 6 or more. This is a fun night out or a great idea for birthday parties!

Join us every Monday after school at Café de la Place to learn English through art, movement and nature. Class will be 16h45-18h30 every Monday, following the academic calendar; September 7-June 28.
Registration possibilities include: half or full school year. All supplies will be included.

Whether you are looking for yourself or someone in your family, let me better meet your individual language-learning needs during individual lessons. We can meet wherever you feel most comfortable and can focus on conversation, learning the basics, or focus on the subjects of your choosing. I am more than happy to incorporate movement in the mountains, baking, or creating art in our private lessons.

Each session will be inspired by nature, famous artists, and delightful stories. Together, we’ll explore the world around us, express ourselves through art, and discover the English language in a fun and meaningful way. By the end of each course or stage, every student will have a special portfolio of artwork to proudly share with their family.

Class Structure
01. Weekly vocabulary lists to increase lesson and story comprehension will be distributed each class.
02. Weekly art history and art technique lessons given in English. We may watch or read stories together to learn more about artists or our art subjects.
We will often spend time outdoors, taking inspiration from the world around us.
03. Art and writing projects will be mixed with language lessons. All art will be collected to create a portfolio of artwork to be proud of!
04. Explore together. It is through the exploration of nature, art, story that we will explore the English language. It is through our passions that we find the need to express ourselves fully.

I love exploring the world around me—whether foraging for myrtilles, mushrooms, or flowers. Creating brings me joy, from baking pies and roasting chestnuts to painting and knitting.
When I moved to France, I realized my passions were the key to learning the language. Talking about finding a fig tree, baking with foraged ingredients, or hiking in the mountains helped me express what I loved most—in French.
That’s the experience I want to share with you: we’ll create art, explore nature, and learn to speak about them together—in English!
In the United States, I worked as a Kinesiology Professor at the University of Utah for nine years. During this time—and continuing until my relocation to France—I delivered wellness presentations, facilitated discussions on various wellness topics, and contributed broadly to the field of education.
In the five years prior to moving to France, I also taught monthly art lessons in my children’s school classrooms, an experience that brought me tremendous joy.
I founded Exploration Anglais because I am passionate about sharing in the creative process and inspiring others through art. I know that we will have a lot to talk about together!
